From Bride & Groom…
Taylor and Brett both grew up in the San Francisco bay area however it was 3000 miles away, in Charlottesville, Virginia where their paths first crossed. The two met at the University of Virginia as incoming freshmen, student athletes and California natives. However, despite the common interests and west coast connection, a more personal connection was not yet meant to be. Upon graduation, they each went their separate ways in pursuit of their post graduate careers. Two years later, Brett moved back to San Francisco and occasionally thought about the California girl he had met back east. He gave Taylor a call to see if she, too, was back home and perhaps interested in getting together. She was, so they did, and the connection was finally made.
After three and a half years Brett and Taylor knew they were destined to spend their lives together. Each had graduate school under their belts and, with careers underway, Brett hatched a plan. He told Taylor that his company was hosting an annual dinner at the beautiful Cavallo Point Lodge in Marin and that spouses/girlfriends were invited. Once there, they were escorted to a private, candle lit room filled with flowers, champagne and views of the Golden Gate Bridge that were absolutely breathtaking. Brett nervously blurted out the most important question of his life (the planned speech was just a memory) and Taylor, of course, said yes!
It took another year and a half for the wedding day to arrive but it was well worth the wait! Brett and Taylor were married at the majestic Bently Reserve in downtown San Francisco. Following two days of activities, with family and friends from both coasts, the wedding ceremony and reception could not have been more perfect. Most special to both (aside from the romantic candle lit ceremony) was walking hand in hand down a grand staircase leading to a crowd of familiar faces that were so meaningful in their lives. Their loving family and their closest friends, from both early childhood and college, were together in one spot to celebrate their marriage!! A delicious dinner followed with drinks flowing freely and, with everyone ready to party, the band wowed a crowd that danced well into the night!
