Simply Sweet

I am very excited about this July summer wedding with Taylor and Brett. Taylor and her mother have the been the best clients to work with and truly have an eye for class. I still have yet to meet the groom, but I can honestly say that since Taylor and her mother are as sweet as they come, then I am sure her soon to be husband will be no different. I cannot wait to show you what we have designed for this wedding. Their centerpieces are sure to wow you!! Check back to see their July 14th, Bently Reserve, wedding – photographed by Hannah Suh Photography.

Gallery of Love

This GORGEOUS couple, Monica and Brian, will be getting married at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco on June 9, 2012. The venue in which the wedding will be held is sure to be great for all their photos, especially with the galleries of art/sculptures and the view of the Golden Gate Bridge as the back drop for their ceremony. Kris Holland took their engagement photos and they are a true representation of San Francisco!!! I cannot wait to see what shots he will capture of their beautiful yellow, white, and silver wedding.

Wine Lovers Wedding Part II

To follow up with my last post, here are the amazing engagement photos, of my Paradise Ridge Winery couple, taken by Shaun Menary. The majority of this session was shot at the Texas State Fair, and they came out incredible with all the lights and activities around them!! I look forward to their June wedding and truly feel blessed to be a part of this couples biggest day.

Wine Lovers Wedding

Now this is a fun couple who loves everything about food and wine. With the groom working in the restaurant industry and the bride working in the wine industry, this is sure to be a fun and well fed wedding. Here is the Save the Date they sent out, which shows their love for the vineyards in which they will get married in. The wedding will take place at Paradise Ridge Winery in Sonoma, California in June 2012. This is an event to look forward to and I feel lucky to be their wedding planner.

The Studio’s Pink Party

This year I was involved in coordinating The Studio’s annual Pink Party. We had all of our vendors donate their services; from the food, beverages, lighting, entertainment, all the way to the gift donations for raffle prizes. Since this was The Studio’s first year open, it was a smaller yet wonderful turn out. Below is the flyer for the event, along with a few images of the night from my camera phone (excuse the quality).

Cuban and Spanish Flaire at the Fairmont

This is what comes to life when you mix a little Cuban and Spanish culture together….the bright colors come out and the party doesn’t stop till the wee hours into the morning. Rachael and Mike’s wedding had everything from both cultures, starting from the gold coin exchange at the ceremony, to his and hers signature drinks (sangria for her, mojito for him), both Spanish and Cuban signature staple foods, all the way down to the authentic Spanish fans and “Cuban” cigars for the favors.

This couple and their family was absolutely amazing to work with from the very start. They are the people that make me love what I do soo much!!

Newsletter Feature

We were just informed that we featured on the wonderful Gil’s Elegant Catering Newsletter. Take a look!!

Purple & Green Bridal Shower

Everything purple and green…the drinks, food, decor, dessert table, gifts, etc. Everything was purple and green!! The bride’s reaction to the decor and overall turn out was priceless as soon as she walked in, almost as if it were her seeing her wedding reception for the first time. This shower was a sure hit with all the guests as well because there were plenty of games and food [seaweed salad, ceasar salad, pesto chicken sandwiches, tequila lime shrimp, fruit, bruschetta, and the delicious dessert bar of course] to go around. The shower came to an end with everyone enjoying their time in the prop photobooth.

Girl behind the planning

Since I know what its like to always wonder who the person is behind all the planning, not just a picture and a brief description of “about us”, but who truly is behind the scenes – personality and all. Well, that is what this post is about, so I hope it makes you feel like you know me a little better.

I have always been a crafty & artistic person, so I have to say I love anything homemade, from scrapbooks down to jewelry. I am a jewelry fanatic and cannot leave the house without having some type of earrings on. I believe the right piece of jewelry or the right accessory of any type can make any outfit fabulous. I am in love with being in love and cannot get enough of romantic/romantic comedy movies. My husband and I have been together for 9 years. I love photography and wish I knew how to use our Nikon SLR with all our fancy lenses. With that being said, here is a photoshoot that I did with the amazing Maria from Be My Light Photography. We had a really great time on this shoot and wanted to share the images. Enjoy the fun photos and I hope you feel like you know “the girl behind the planning” a little bit better now!!

Country Girl Gone Glam

This wedding was everything that comes to mind when you think of Spring; from the Arboretum venue, the pink and white fresh colors, all the way to the perfect weather. For a country couple from Austin, this Dallas wedding was pretty glam. The wedding had silver touches all throughout to keep with the overall romance theme, however we incorporated some country mixed in there to reflect the couples personalities. We brought out the country for this event in the brides cowboy boots, the country band, all the way to the beer koozies for their wedding favors.  What an amazing couple and such a wonderful celebration.
